I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Inner City Enterprise (ICE) for organizing two exceptional programs that have profoundly impacted my entrepreneurial journey in Ireland and Europe. These programs have not only equipped me with essential skills and knowledge but have also opened doors to invaluable networks and opportunities.
The Seeking Economic Empowerment and Resilience Programme (SEER)
The SEER program, held in Cork, was my first introduction to the incredible support ICE offers. This program served as a platform for meeting diverse individuals, exchanging ideas, and learning from one another. It was truly inspiring to engage in discussions about entrepreneurship, resilience, and economic empowerment.
One of the most impactful connections I made during the program was with Tony, a high-level individual who manages one of the largest organizations in Cork. Over time, Tony and I have developed a strong friendship, and his guidance has been instrumental in helping me build my business and embark on a new journey here. The insights and experiences I gained from working with Tony are invaluable, and I am incredibly grateful for the mentorship and support he has provided.
Through SEER, I gained practical insights into how different sectors operate, and I left with a deeper understanding of the foundational steps needed to start and grow a business. The program’s emphasis on resilience and empowerment resonated deeply with me, encouraging me to pursue my entrepreneurial ambitions with greater confidence.
Young Entrepreneur Training Program (YETP)
The YETP was unlike any program I had ever experienced before. It brought together founders from various sectors, each with unique talents and experiences. The energy and camaraderie among participants were unparalleled—we became not just colleagues but friends and supporters of each other’s journeys.
This program provided a deep dive into the essentials of entrepreneurship, covering topics like:
- Building and executing a marketing strategy
- Understanding tax and finance in business
- Networking effectively to expand professional circles
One of the highlights was visiting renowned companies like BDO Ireland and Davy Group. During these visits, we met experts who shared invaluable advice on starting and sustaining a business. The mentorship and guidance provided during the program were transformative, giving me the confidence and clarity needed to pursue my entrepreneurial goals.
Celebration at Meta
The culmination of this journey was our celebration day held at Meta. It was an extraordinary experience to visit one of the world’s leading companies, meet diverse mentors, and gain insights into building a successful business in the digital age. The event was a fitting conclusion to an enriching journey, leaving me inspired and equipped to take bold steps forward.
